Basic, small, inexpensive hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, good location. No onsite parking, no elevator, shared bathrooms and showers. Comfortable.

MAP was wrong, wrong, wrong! I used Safari It looks like hotel is RIGHT across the street from Dogo Onsen. This is the only reason I chose this hotel. It is not there, but 3-400 meters away. Hotel itself was great. Staff were very nice.

Clean room with many extra toiletries provided. Pet friendly is limited. We spoke with someone after making reservation to ask what we needed to bring. My father in law spoke with someone and gave them our name. When we went to check in there wasn’t a room available for dog. They did give us a smoking room with a dog crate on the third floor. They said dogs were only allowed on first floor. We heard another dog on the third floor. Also we were charged $150 hot springs tax. I don’t see this listed anywhere. And we never had the time to use it.

Right in the heart of Matsuyama. The location can not be beat. You are steps away from the Okaido shopping center. The rail tram to Dogo Onsen or the JR train station is right in front of the hotel. The entrance to Ropeway street with numerous shops and restaurants and the Ropeway to Matsuyama Castle is right across the street. In addition, there are excellent restaurants in the side streets adjacent to the hotel. The public bath with an outdoor area is a great addition. The only negative is lack of on site parking. There is reasonable parking about 3 blocks away. It would have been ok if not for the rain storm that occurred right as we checked in so we go drenched walking from garage to hotel. If you're traveling on Shikoku, a car is almost a necessity unless you are only visiting Matsuyama. One note, the garage is only 800 yen per day but they only take cash so be prepared. Over

The room is clean and big.
